Black Female Soldier Posterized for Having ‘Flag Lag’

Tariqka SheffeyBy Walter L. Hilliard III –

Look, I totally love and respect our nation’s soldiers for risking their lives on our behalf.  They are true heroes; however, I believe our elitist, phoney government, run by rich guys, unnecessarily exposes our young men to war, risking their lives to maintain and build their wealth and power.

Nonetheless, MESSAGE TO AMERICA: Black people, Black soldiers, are aware of the hypocrisy of their fighting for their country, but still being discriminated against on their own shores.  We all know how rampant racism is, at least those of us with any common sense.  So why would so many people be so surprised when a Black soldier or civilian doesn’t want to salute the flag.   In fact, Black folks “acting out” regarding racism is in direct proportion to the racism they face.

So here we are with the military now investigating a Black PFC Tariqka Sheffey, who is facing an avalanche of criticism after she posted an Instagram photo of her in her car, saying:  “This is me laying back in my car hiding so I don’t have to salute the 1700 flag (5 pm flag ceremony).”  She captioned the picture in her Instagram post. ”KEEP ALL YOUR ‘THATS SO DISRESPECTFUL / HOWRUDE / ETC.’ COMMENTS TO YOURSELF cuz, right now, IDGAFFFF.”

Why is the media always digging through the country trying to find examples of unpatriotic Black people?

One of the concepts I often write and talk about is the “posterization of Black people” – and especially Black men – for “all things bad.”  Yes, White America loves to stereotype Black people in negative ways because these stereotypes validate their racist socialization, with the purpose of maintaining power or White supremacy and privilege.   And these posterizations occur mainly through the media; thus, setting the tone for the rest of America in regards to what to believe  and how to treat Black people.   Muhammad Ali was the poster for Draft Dogging; Mike Tyson was the poster for Date Rape; Barry Bonds is the poster for Steroid Use; and now Jason Collins and Michael Sam are the posters for Male Homosexuality.

Now we have a non-famous Black female soldier becoming the poster child for being unpatriotic.

And yet there are are some Blacks who despise Sheffey more than White Americans do because she embarrassed them in front the very people from whom they sought validation. Whites.   Yes, Black people know that Niggas don’t like Niggers, too.

Don Lemon Says Al Sharpton ‘Is Not My Leader’

Don Lemon, Laura IngrahamBy Walter L. Hilliard III –

Why would Don Lemon, the light-skinned, “always criticizing Black people” Media Social Climber go on a conservative talk show and trash Al Sharpton?

Well, because he’s a Media Social Climber, stupid!

So Lemon, on conservative Laura Ingraham’s radio talk show, runs off at the mouth and says, “Many people think that African-Americans are monolithic and they speak with one voice and that there is one leader . . . I have nothing against Al Sharpton, I have no beef with him, but I don’t agree with everything that comes out of Al Sharpton’s mouth and Al Sharpton is not my leader.”

So, Lemon’s playing the ol’ “Black people are not monolithic” Card. However, isn’t the reality that we’re all Black, all were enslaved, all continue to be racially profiled by the police, banks, and everybody else – so why in the hell is it so difficult to agree that: “Hey! Get your damn foot off of our neck!”   That’s Commonsense Monolithic!  Lemon’s comment is a feeble-minded “White people gon’ get us” type of answer that Black people who have “Assimilation Flu” give, taught to them by the mainstream to make them feel like they have a shot at actually being “accepted” by Whites.

Thus, Lemon is a damn Wannabe!

Now, let’s get this straight, I’m no Sharpton fan. In fact, I probably despise Sharpton more than anyone except, maybe, Lemon, because he totally sold out Black people for an Uncle Tom president, Barack Obama, who does for everyone, except Black people.

But I will say this, at least Sharpton has done something for Black people – Lemon just showed up gay at CNN and got a job because of his sexuality, not his talent, obviously, and then got him a White boyfriend, kind of like a Black man becomes successful and gets him a White woman . . . uhhh, I guess that’s what he thought he was doing?  Also know that CNN loves him because he’s everything they want in a Black man, a non-threatening homosexual with a White boyfriend who will put him in his place if he gets out control.

I mean, are you realizing what’s going on in the media — that White men and women are so threatened by Black men, especially angry Black men, that they would send out an army of gay Black men as analyst, hosts, and guests.  Just watch MSNBC and CNN and you’ll clearly see what I mean.

Typically, Networks ‘Use’ Black Shows to Grow, Then Ship Them Off to Black Networks

Opra and Sweetie Pie'sBy Walter L. Hilliard III –

We could go way back when to discuss how the Fox network “used” “In Living Color,” “Martin,”etc., as well as other Black shows, like other networks have “used” Blacks, to build their network, then dumped the shows and their Black audiences.

More recently, Black shows being “used”:  “The Game,” canceled by the CW (owned by CBS and Paramount) and later moved to BET; and Queen Latifah’s (producer) “Single Ladies,” discontinued by VH1 and picked up by the Centric network (targets Blacks) – both are owned by Viacom.

But what’s even more offensive is how the Queen of Mainstream TV, Oprah Winfrey, needed Black shows to save her network, OWN (50-50 shared ownership with the Discovery Channel), which is pretty funny because she typically ignores Black people and issues like racism.  So when her network was tanking, the Black show “Sweetie Pie’s” (features former Tina Turner backup singer Robbie Montgomery and her restaurant business) was just about the only bright spot.   Next came Iyanla Vanzant, and eventually Tyler Perry and others.  Actually, there are about 13 Black shows featured on the network.  And mark my words, once Oprah reaches the top again, she’ll ditch her “Black strategy” and her Black audience.

Thus, whether it’s picking cotton or other forms of Black exploitation, Black bodies are always providing ways for White families to make a living or get rich.  For example, despite all the money Black shows are bringing into OWN, think about all the pictures you’ve ever seen of Oprah’s staff and you’ll see very few Blacks.  Also consider the criminal justice system and look at the great lives judges, attorneys, prison guards, cops, healthcare services and others have — and you’ll see how  Black lives make White privilege and supremacy possible.

And they call us lazy.

Big Willie Obama Droppin’ Some ‘Visit Payback’ On Sharpton for Being a Good Lil’ Doggy

Sharpton and ObamaBy Walter L. Hilliard III –

Yes, it was politics as usual as President Barack Obama spoke at Al Sharpton’s National Action Network conference in NY, providing Sharpton with yet another “slumming payoff” for Sharpton “selling out” the Black masses to serve as Obama Tom’s Black People Attack Dog, barking at any Black person or organization that has dared to express frustration with how badly Obama has been treating the Black community.

And of course Obama stunk up the place talking about voting rights, warming up the Democratic troops for upcoming mid-term elections. Obama, a lame duck president, is attempting to beat back the impact of last year’s Supreme Court ruling that weakened a part of the 1965 Voting Rights Act that has inspired RepubliCons to initiate all sorts of obstacles meant to hinder minorities and other DemoRat group’s voting turnout.  One of the bogus issues used to distract Blacks and make them support the Democrat’s agenda has been their focus on many states requiring voters to show IDs, an issue that is more relevant to Latinos and so called illegal immigrants.  After 400 years of being here, everyone knows that the vast majority of Black people at least have ID.  Sure, we may not “got no money,” but “we gots an ID.”

During his speech, in that Black Preacher voice he likes to use when speaking to Blacks, Obama even mentioned the Civil Rights workers who were killed in Mississippi, letting everyone know that two of the victims were White and one was Black. He also continued his main theme, chastising Blacks to step up and get out and vote, to work harder – in other words, he was saying, “You dumb, whining, lazy azz Niggraz get off your azz and go vote.”  All this . . . but we’re his strongest supporters.  Go figure?

So it’s pretty obvious Obama and Sharpton are continuing their plan of vilifying RepubliCons to rally or inspire Blacks and other Democrats around party issues that really do nothing for Black people.  Obama said nothing about the hundreds of Black men shot and killed by the police (as well as by security guards and private citizens), the over 30 percent of Black children in poverty, or how Black and Brown people lost massive amounts of wealth during his presidency after the recession and Wall Street’s collapse in 2008.  Why didn’t he talk about these things?  Because he’s not going to do a damned thing, specifically, for Black people.

This is how things must have been –like Sharpton and Obama manipulating their people to stay loyal to their Democratic Party plantation masters — after the slaves were freed in 1865 when the former and current plantation House Negroes rallied the ex-slaves to come on back to the plantation for the best job they ever had – and their “Three Hots and a Cot” on the plantation (hmmmm, sounds like a modern day jail accommodating a Black man whom society will not give a job and can’t feed his family, so he gives up and commits to a life of crime – and goes to jail for a rest).

Any Black person that buys the garbage Obama and Sharpton are dumping deserves to live a life of ignorance, blaming themselves or Black people as the only cause of their problems.  It’s simply insane and damaging to Black people’s self-esteem to excuse America from taking responsibility for ongoing discrimination.  You can complain and fight racism, as well as bust your azz to “be the best you can be”; the two are not mutually exclusive.

Black people must face the truth about racism, stop being afraid to address racist, and identify the traitors among Black people – the Obamas, Sharptons, the Congressional Black Caucus, and others – and give em hell!
